Postoperative Support Specialist - Denver, CO

Job Description:

We are a leading home healthcare company in Denver, CO seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Postoperative Support Specialists.  Our team members play a vital role in supporting patients post-surgery, ensuring a smooth and comfortable recovery in the comfort of their own homes.

Angel’s Advocate specializes in general and cosmetic postoperative aftercare, and our highly qualified team of Registered Nurses and Certified Nurses Assistants apply evidence-based solutions to promote better recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide postoperative care services to patients recovering from surgery.
  • Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Provide wound care and medication management as needed.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient care and update healthcare professionals as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year experience in postoperative care or similar environment.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) qualification.
  • Certification in postoperative care preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

We offer tailored packages for 1 to 24 hours, 3 to 5 days, or even 10 days of postoperative care, depending on the type of surgery and patient’s health history. Our goal is to allow patients to focus on their recovery and feel comfortable, while our Caregivers handle the rest.
